The customer has developed cutting-edge 350 kW charging stations and the sophisticated software that powers them.

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be a key member of a dynamic Scrum team, collaborating with developers, business testers, test automation engineers, and other members such as the Product Owner to deliver exceptional user experiences. Each team focuses on a specific area of the platform, such as charging, payments, or invoicing.

Your responsibilities

  • design, development, and maintenance of test automation solutions to support development teams with continuous deployment
  • identify key application components for automation, prioritizing coverage based on acceptance criteria, business value and potential impact of automated testing
  • refine and optimize existing manual test cases to understand the details and identify the reusable components and functions to enable the automation
  • provide accurate and reliable effort estimations for the test script development
  • prepare and maintain high-quality test data together with the customer as input for test execution
  • execute automated tests
  • analyze and provide insightful test reports based on the test results

 

What do we expect?

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with good knowledge of different test levels such as functional, integration and system tests
  • at least 3 years of experience in Agile Testing
  • proficiency in different test design techniques
  • hands-on experience with test automation tools, programming languages, and frameworks such as Selenium, Junit, Ruby, Java, TestNG
  • experience with creating automated tests using any programming language (e.g. Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#, VBScript)
  • solid technical expertise such as database languages, and API/ web service testing (particularly REST)
  • familiarity with Agile Software Development (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) including understanding the role of testing in quality-focused agile development projects
  • high interactivity and good analytical capabilities for evaluating results
  • strong communication skills for handling verbal communication with the team and the stakeholders
  • a proactive way of working
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or Agile Tester Foundation Level
  • fluency in English, and German will be an advantage
  • nice to have:
    • experience (or knowledge) in mobile application projects
