We are looking for two Agile Test Automation Engineers to join our teams. One will join the backend-focused team (experience with mobile testing is not required). The other will join the mobile application team (experience with mobile testing is required). Each Test Automation Engineer will be part of one Agile team (one Agile team consists of a few developers, a business tester, a test automation engineer, and other members such as a Product Owner, etc.). Each Agile team is responsible for a certain part of the developed product – such as charging, payments, invoices, etc.

The customer has built the largest, fastest, and greenest highway charging network across Europe, open to electric vehicles of all brands. They have developed 350 kW charging stations and the software around it.

 

Project

This project is focused on the e-mobility sector, specifically on building and operating a large-scale electric vehicle charging infrastructure. It includes the development of 350 kW charging stations and the software ecosystem around them. The backend system is directly connected to the charging stations and is responsible for managing and ensuring the charging process.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated tests for backend systems or mobile applications (depending on assigned team)
  • Collaborate in Agile teams (developers, testers, Product Owner, etc.) to ensure quality of features such as charging, payments, invoices
  • Perform functional, integration and system testing across different product areas
  • Apply test design techniques to create efficient and reliable test coverage
  • Conduct API / web service testing (REST) and work with databases to validate backend processes
  • Ensure test automation is integrated into the Agile development lifecycle (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Provide clear communication with team members and stakeholders about test results and quality risks
  • Take a proactive role in improving testing processes and overall product quality
  • Support mobile application testing (for the mobile team position)
  • Contribute to maintaining a quality-focused Agile project in the e-mobility sector

What do we expect?

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with good knowledge of different test levels such as functional, integration and system tests
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agile Testing
  • Proficient with different test design techniques
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools, programming languages, frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, Ruby, Java, TestNG
  • Experience with creating automated tests using any programming language (e.g. Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#, VBScript)
  • Solid technical expertise such as database languages, API / web service testing (particularly REST)
  • Familiar with Agile Software Development (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) including understanding the role of testing in quality-focused Agile development projects
  • Preferably knowledge in Mobile App projects
  • Highly interactive and good analytical capabilities for evaluating results
  • Strong communication skills for handling verbal communication with the team and the stakeholders
  • Proactive way of working
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or Agile Tester Foundation Level
  • Good communication skills in English
