Change Manager with German (m/f/d)

In this position, you will cover the End-to-end Change management process of the SAP OneBilling platform, based on SAP S/4HANA Utilities, supporting standardized and harmonized business processes across participating customer units.

The Change Manager will be responsible for the operational coordination and governance of the Change Management process.

Your responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the day-to-day Change Management process for customer billing platform.
  • Review, validate and assess incoming Request for Changes (RfCs).
  • Classify Changes according to Change type, risk, impact and urgency.
  • Coordinate the lifecycle of Changes from creation and assessment through approval, implementation, PIR and closure.
  • Plan, prepare and coordinate regular CAB meetings.
  • Prepare Change calendars and ensure that relevant stakeholders have the necessary information for decision-making.
  • Coordinate the Change approval process.
  • Coordinate Change implementation windows and identify conflicts, dependencies and potential business impact.
  • Work closely with Release & Deployment Management to ensure that approved Changes are implemented according to the defined SAP ChaRM process.
  • Verify the availability and completeness of test results, UAT/regression evidence and rollback plans before productive implementation.
  • Coordinate communication of the Changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor Change progress and ensure timely status updates in Jira.
  • Coordinate and follow up Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs).
  • Ensure Lessons Learned are documented and fed into Continual Service Improvement.
  • Analyse Change-related incidents, failed Changes, emergency Changes and recurring issues to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor Change Management KPIs and provide regular reporting to Service Management.
  • Support audits by ensuring that Change records and deployment documentation are complete and traceable.
  • Coordinate with external providers and internal technical teams involved in Change implementation.
  • Continuously improve the Change Management process, templates, workflows and governance.

What do we expect?

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT Change Management, preferably in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Change Management / IT Service Management.
  • Practical experience with:
    • Standard, Normal and Emergency Changes
    • CAB / ECAB processes
    • Risk and impact assessment
    • Change scheduling and coordination
    • Change lifecycle management
    • Post Implementation Reviews
    • Change reporting and KPI management
  • Experience working with Jira / Jira Service Management.
  • Experience coordinating changes across multiple technical teams and external service providers.
  • Ability to assess technical and business risks and challenge incomplete or insufficient Change requests.
  • Experience with CAB facilitation and stakeholder management.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple Changes, dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, particularly regarding documentation, approvals, auditability and compliance.
  • Experience with security-relevant Changes, rollback planning and emergency changes is an advantage.
  • Understanding of SAP environments and enterprise application landscapes.
  • Experience in large-scale SAP transformation / utility / energy environments is an advantage.
